What Happens Inside VacuShape?

VacuShape works in similar way as standard aerobic equipment, with the exception that for the prescribed 30 minutes of exercise the client is sealed from the waist down inside the pod. The special feature of this pod is the vacuum system which generates a low atmospheric pressure.

Concentrated Fat Burning

Blood and lymphatic capillaries are relaxed in the subcutaneous layer and fat tissue and blood and lymph are propelled into the epidermis and fat layers by the action of the nearby muscles. This promotes concentrated fat burning and targets fat reduction directly in the areas of the hips, stomach, thighs, and buttocks.

Blood Circulation

Anyone can try this out for themselves. After undergoing any ordinary exercise - touch the skin around your hips, stomach, thighs, and buttocks with the back of your hand. If the temperature is uniform everywhere - then you are one of the few lucky people who are blessed with good blood circulation. If, however, the skin in the upper part of your body is warm, but your thighs and hips are cooler, then you are prone to cellulite and fat accumulation.

As the body attempts to burn fat as a source of energy, first it burns fat from the most readily available sources, particularly from around the chest area. The result is that when women exercise to improve their figure, they first slim down around the chest, arms, and face without actually losing much fat from the lower parts of the body, i.e. precisely the place they want to lose the fat from.

Heart Rate Monitoring

In order to ensure optimum fat burning VacuShape monitors your heart rate so that you are always exercising in the aerobic zone (approx. 65% MHR), determined by your age and level of physical fitness.

Clinical Trials

VacuShape has undergone long-term testing at the Clinic of Sports Medicine in Bratislava, Slovakia and at the Obesity Clinic at Charles University in Hradec Králové, Czech Republic, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Karel Martiník, Ph.D. Several groups of people of varying ages, fitness levels, and with differing percentages of body fat were monitored.

Participants underwent an anthropometric examination. The results of the tests clearly indicate that the consumption of oxygen, an expenditure of energy, and oxygen ventilation increase whilst exercising in reduced atmospheric pressure.

Energy expenditure increases by up to 50% in comparison with standard aerobic exercise without the use of the partial vacuum. Fat burning begins sooner and muscle fatigue is not observed as quickly because lactic acid, which develops in the muscles during exertion, is removed and metabolized much faster.

VacuShape is not only an excellent form of exercise for the general (non-sporting) public, but also for the regeneration of athletes.

Tips For Best Results

Impact therapy of a minimum of 20 sessions (3 times a week) over the course of a 6 week period in order to ”kick start“ the metabolism into action. Results are generally already visible after 10 applications (although in some cases weight and centimetre loss may not occur immediately, and skin appears to be smoother).

Exercise takes only 30 minutes, but this is sufficient. Under normal circumstances, fat is burned in muscles only after 20-30 minutes of exercise. In the VacuShape this time is decreased by one third.

5-10 minute warm-up of the body is recommended before entering the VacuShape (i.e. exercise bike, treadmill, etc.). A client then makes maximum use of his/her time in the VacuShape and fat burning starts from the very first minute. In the case of a “cold” start this process of fat burning doesn’t actually begin until about the 6th – 10th minute.

While exercising in the VacuShape machine, you should strictly adhere to the optimum heart rate (OHR). At this pulse rate, your body’s energy requirements are 80% covered by fats and only 20% by sugars, which is important for maximum results. The formula for calculating OHR = 0.65 x (220 – your age).

For maximum effect apply a cellulite cream before entering the VacuShape. You may also use L-Carnitine food supplements (tablets or syrup) for boosting fat burning.

Adhere to a regular drinking regime – approximately 3-4 liters of liquid a day.
